How to Make the Most of your Office Christmas Party
A Christmas party should be all about fun. Of course it should – your staff have worked hard all year and deserve a reward for everything they’ve done for the company. However, there are also a number of ways in which you can use the Christmas party to develop staff relationships and deliver key messages. Here are some ideas:
- Have a quiz about the company. This shouldn’t be anything too heavy – it is a Christmas party, after all! Make it light, fun and entertaining, but on topic to see who know their stuff.
- Arrange for staff to travel with different colleagues to usual. This will help them to socialise with new people and form new working relationships that they can take back to the office.
- Put people onto teams for games. This will encourage them to work together and achieve things as a team.
- Make speeches. This will give you the chance to tell you staff about all of the positive things that have been happening in the company. They will feel happy to work somewhere so successful, and it will reassure them that the company is doing well and their jobs are safe.
